The role of Youth Ambassador is to increase the awareness of life with type 1, juvenile diabetes.
JDRF's youth ambassador will:
* meet, on occasion, with newly diagnosed families to extend support.
* be matched with a corporate Walk Team or Ride to Cure Diabetes rider to increase awareness and help in their fundraising efforts.
* encourage others to seek volunteer opportunities with JDRF.
To qualify, the applicant must:
* be a type 1 diabetic.
* be willing to share his/her personal story in front of large groups and with the media.
* have a positive outlook on life and diabetes!

Interested in applying to be a Youth Ambassador? We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are passionate about finding a cure for diabetes. As a representative of JDRF, he or she will be trained to effectively communicate JDRF's mission, "To find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research."
