Walk to Cure Diabetes
The Walk to Cure Diabetes is a grassroots community event that attracts over 25,000 walkers. The event brings family and friends of all ages together to walk for diabetes research and awareness. Over 3 million Americans have type 1 diabetes, a disease most often diagnosed in childhood that strikes suddenly, lasts a lifetime, and carries the constant threat of deadly complications, including heart disease, stroke, blindness, kidney failure, and amputation. JDRF's mission is constant: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Thanks to dramatic research progress, a cure is possible.
Family Walk Videos
Families everywhere take an extra step at getting others involved in sharing the Walk experience. Local Dallas Chapter family teams have put together videos sharing their stories of diabetes diagnosis and the struggles they face daily when living with type 1 diabetes.
