Getting & Staying in the Zone: Break Free from Burnout
People managing Diabetes have a lot in common with elite athletes who are also trying to optimize their potential while minimizing injury. When mind, body and spirit are in harmony, we’re “in the zone,” functioning at peak performance and life is good.
But just like us, athletes are at risk to burn out from the regimen of diet, training and testing. Yes, testing, from linear and multidirectional speed and velocity testing to digital movement analysis. They get their eyes tested, and are prescribed visual exercises to enhance peripheral vision, depth perception and timing to strengthen vision, reaction and accuracy.
Whether you’re an athlete or person managing Diabetes, it’s a lot of effort with no guarantees. Without balancing the intensity of daily life as a person managing Diabetes or daily life as an elite athlete, we are likely to hit the wall and burn out. Learn how to break free from the frustration, stay motivated and achieve goals using proven tools, technology and sports psychology techniques to enhance life with Diabetes.
