Ride to Cure Diabetes

The JDRF Ride To Cure Diabetes is an adventure of a lifetime. Riders take on two challenges: raising the critical money needed to fund the research that will cure diabetes, and reaching a personal training goal that will prepare them for their destination cycling experience.

Participants spend the weeks before the Ride working with a USA Cycling certified coach and a JDRF fundraising coach to help them reach their goals. Be part of the team that moves us towards a cure with every mile pedaled and every dollar raised.

Partners In Motion
As a rider, you'll commit to a fundraising minimum (approximately $4,000) that is based on your Ride destination. In exchange, JDRF will provide you with a fully supported all inclusive Ride weekend.

September 10 - 13 -- Lake Tahoe, NV (NEW for 2010)
The 72-mile Tour de Tahoe course circumnavigates the highways clockwise around Lake Tahoe in both Nevada and California. Distance and Destination
Our destinations are designed for riders of all fitness levels. As you pedal towards your goal of 30, 62, or 100 miles you will be amazed by our country's natural landscapes. Each destination promises its own beauty and challenges, and will help to create memories that will remain with you long after you return home.

Your Biggest Fan
If you don't already have your own special reason for riding, you can be matched by the Chapter with one of our Youth Ambassadors-Young Heroes from your community living with diabetes. This young person's courage will offer you the most motivation and he or she will be your biggest fan for the ride.

July 25th through the 28th, JDRF was in Sonoma, California for one of the six Ride to Cure Diabetes events. There was a great turn out for the race. The fourteen members of the Greater Dallas Chapter team collectively pedaled over 1,000 miles!
