JDRF is a donor and volunteer driven organization.
JDRF was built on the concept that people passionate for a cure can make a real difference by giving their time and talent. By making Volunteers front and center, JDRF puts more money into research. Here are a few of our current opportunities:
Volunteer
JDRF is in constant need of volunteer help. From general office help to event support to chapter committees, there is a part for you to play.
- Bring awareness to Diabetes in local schools
- Deliver and Pick-up materials from schools or businesses
- Prepare Kids Walk to Cure Diabetes packets
- Day of event help: Check out all of our upcoming events by clicking here
- Mentor a family living with diabetes and looking for support
- Become an advocate for additional research funding
- Support newly diagnosed families through the Bag of Hope
- Prepare mailings and write letters or thank you cards
- Solicit businesses for Gala silent-auction items
- Serve on one of our committees (Partnership, Golf, Walk, Family Team Champions, Gala, Ride, Government Relations, Auction Angels)
Intern
JDRF is seeking interns who desire experience in office administration, event planning and nonprofit fundraising. All positions are unpaid but college internship credit is available along with the opportunity to add to your resume an internship with the #1 funder of type 1 diabetes research. JDRF Dallas accepts interns during the spring, summer and fall semesters and will consider students in college. *Interning for school credit is not required to apply for a JDRF internship.

With auctions at multiple events throughout the year, JDRF Dallas also accepts donations for Gala Silent Auction, Golf Silent Auction and E-Auction. To make a donation, please download our ProCUREment Form and fax, email or mail it to the attention of Deborah Newsome with the item.
